Here is the HuCard conversion of the classic vertical shooter Raiden
by Seibu Kaihatsu and converted for the PC Engine system by Hudson Soft.
Your ship starts with a simple vulcan gun
which can be massively upgraded during the game and streams of bullets
will rapidly cover the screen. However, other kind of weapons is also
available : the laser (Blue capsule). A secondary weapon can be collected,
like homing or straight going missiles. One of the originality of the game
was the special super bombs covering a fair amount of the screen and cleaning
everything on its path. This version has obvious differences, due to technical
limitations, compared to the arcade original : no two simultaneous players play
and graphics are not as clear and colorful.

Teaser text from the American version:
Go ballistic with intense arcade action and incredible 6-megabit graphics !
The year is 2090, and it could be our last. Alien invaders are scorching
the earth with vastly superior firepower. Our only hope is Raiden, an
untested supersonic fighter built with captured enemy technology, and
only you are ace enough to handle it! Power-up your laser for deadly
accuracy or wide shots of lethal fire! Zero in with your homing missiles.
Then nuke those fiends deep into space! You're on their turf now.
Blast'em all and return victorious or they'll be back to finish us off!

This conversion is probably one of the best around (if we do not
include the CDROM and more recent versions for the Playstation).
However Raiden for the PC Engine is hard, very hard and I
personnaly prefer the CDRom version which seems to be easier.
But do not get me wrong, this HuCard version is amazing and
is a great convertion.
