Die Hard is a top view action game based on the action-pack
American movie of the same name originally released in 1988.
The game tells the adventures of the off-duty New York cop John McClane
(Bruce Willis) who takes on the most dangerous mission
of his career when he learns that a group of terrorists have taken
hostages in a Los Angeles skyscraper.
After a short introduction and pictures from the movie, the player is
thrown right into action. However, many miscellaneous areas
will have to be cleared before he gets a chance to
enter the famous building (such as a forest and a swamp).
Although John McClane
starts his mission with his bare hands, he can quickly pick up weapons from
his defeated enemies, which include a machine gun, a rocket launcher and
a powerful flame thrower. Various side buildings can be investigated and often hide
medicine-kits, more powerful weapons or bullet-proof vests.
Die Hard consists of ten stages and is single player only.

Yippee-ki-yay!
Ok, I won't waste your time and will go straight to
the point here - Die Hard is a terrible game!
The various stages are incredibly boring and
astonishingly monotonous. Then most of the levels have nothing to do with
the movie. What? I need to cross a swamp before I get to the tower?
Get real. And even if you get to reach the tower (which is where
most of the movie's action happens, just as a reminder), Pack in Video has
managed to mess up the whole thing, with a frustrating maze of doors and
corridors. As a side note, the only thing they got right in this game is
how John McClane's shirt gets damaged along the way.
Additionally, medicine-kits give his life back as well as his shirt.
How cool is that? Yippee-ki-hurl! Avoid this game like the plague.
