Release : 1994-11-25 (¥7800) SuperCDRom² HECD4014 Role Playing / Action game Götzendiener is an action/adventure game by Gainax featuring a young girl kept prisoner deep inside a creepy dungeon. At the beginning of the game, a valiant hero appears and tries to save the poor girl. He his however deadly wounded and our princess decides to take care of herself - she grabs his sword and escape from her cell. Götzendiener uses a 3D-Isometric view and our heroine fights her way through corridors and huge underground mazes. Monsters are of course scattered around the dungeon and they can be defeated with the sword or with magic spells. Various puzzles must be solved to unlock doors and save points allows the player to record the game state at that point. LK Add your Pov here ! P O V s Götzendiener is an amazing game. It suffers from a couple of annoying flaws though - for instance the game really slows down in some places and controls can be a bit awkward as you need to move diagonally. But overall Götzendiener is really good with great graphics (some parts of the dungeon are amazing) and there is always this thing that motivates you to go a bit further every time you play. Despite being really short, the game hides some really nice surprises and unusual situations... The Japanese language is not a problem either as there is not that much text in the game. All in all, Götzendiener is an excellent game, and it is quite refreshing to be a princess rescuing herself for a change !
